Zen Bound - A Curious iPhone Game

http://zenbound.com/scr2.jpg

Zen Bound is easily one of the most curious iphone "games" around this year.

An explanation here will do it little justice, but essentially it is a game of stone, wood and rope that came out in late march (i haven't had much time to blog these days). i will follow up here soon with a rundown of several recenlty found iphone games and music apps (like the recent Star6 app.

Hey so if anyone get's this anytime soon, please shoot me what you think. I hear the sound is wikid as well.

LBP looks like it's going to revolutionize customization on consoles, and I can't wait to see what obscenely cool levels people will come up with.

Oh yeah, if you get it in the first week, make sure you get the Astronaut costume.

Nintendo to start DS Lite movie downloads

wow... and it only took 4 years after i preached to the hills for them to do it. all that hardware and not a frikin clue. better late then never.

but amazingly they are setting it up to be completely unsuccessful. it will never get traction in this format/rube goldberg madness.

we can only hope they leave the back door open long enough for fanboys to crack it.

details here.

Just saw this over at monkeybites

Apparentyl there are several demos up on YouTube, so have a look.

The article says Opera for Nintendo is more full-featured than Opera Mini 2.0, but it is, of course, not as robust as the version of Opera that's available for the major platforms., that is pretty cool, but no Flash of course. This would be super nice with google maps, while wandering around the city.

As well it will be interesting to see it works with MyOrb!

nintendo announces headphone VoIP set for DS

 Category: game tech
Posted: 2006-07-18 13:17, Edited: 2006-07-18 16:17

http://archive.pxlpark.com/upload/ds_voip.jpg

In a recent retail product fair in Japan, Nintendo announced a microphone & headphone set for the DS. The peripheral is scheduled for release on September 14 (??) for 1,200 Yen, which converts into about $10, €8 or £6. It’s designed for DS games supporting VoIP, like Metroid Prime: Hunters.

With its comfortable, over-the-ear design and snazzy hi-tech look, Communicator Headset for DS works with both the original Nintendo DS and the new DS Lite. It's fully WiFi-compatible too, whether using Nintendo's device or Datel's own WiFi MAX.

Well it works with Metroid Prime: Hunters, which is good enough for me.

I wonder how long it will take before the next gen of kids looks at cell phones and asks "you actually had to pay for service?".

I love these things on the simple ethic it represents, cheap hackable freaky little game devices... I'll be sure to look for one next time i'm wondering around chinatown..

64MB flash memory, an SD card slot, and a 320 x 240 color LCD and 32MB RAM, all sounds like a good time to be had to me... Now just gotta wait for someone to hack MAME on this puppy.
