This site features the ways in which people modify and re-create technology. Herein a collection of personal modifications, folk innovations, street customization, ad hoc alterations, wear-patterns, home-made versions and indigenous ingenuity.
StreetUse is a new blog by Kevin Kelly of Wired / Mondo2000 / Whole Earth Review fame, that basically tracks new and unusual "inventions"... well just read the lines above and you'll get the idea. In a way, it does feel like a bit of a return to things you would see on Whole Earth Review.
By far, it is one of the most interesting places to see how technology works "in a pinch", and easily fulfils the idea of Necessity is the Mother of Invention (well necessity and Frank Zappa of course).
It looks cool but I don't feel like searching.
